Three Easy Ways to Add Fall to Your Home

Fall is my favorite season!  However, living in Florida, we do not get to experience the crisp cool air, leaves turning into beautiful shades of red, orange, and yellow and layering with leather jackets or cozy knit sweaters. But that doesn’t mean I can’t bring the Fall season into my home.  The three easiest ways to add Fall to your home is adding fresh Fall flowers, lighting a candle, and adding lots of cozy texture throughout your home.

  1. Adding Fall to Your Home with Fall Flowers

Decorating for Fall doesn’t have to be complicated. Adding flowers is a simple way to incorporate elements of nature into your home.  I recently discovered the floral frog and adding Fall into your home got even easier. A floral frog simplified the floral arrangement process, so I made this arrangement. Inspired by my Yankee Candle, Golden Autumn, I captured the essence of the fragrance with sunflowers, mums, and dahlias.  You can view the process on my Instagram or Tik Tok.

  1. Lighting a Candle for a Warm Ambience

Simply adding candles to your home for a warm glow can instantly make your space feel cozy during these cooler months. Especially if the fragrance reminds you of your favorite trail in the crisp Autumn air like Yankee Candle’s Autumn Nature Walk does. When we lived up North, one of my favorite things to do during Fall was apple picking at the Orchard.  Yankee Candle’s Apple & Sweet Fig candles brings back some great memories.

  1. Layer Your Home with Cozy Textures

When I think of Fall, I often think of cuddling up in a big chunky sweater or in a cozy blanket. So, bring out all the soft blankets and knit sweaters. The softer, the chunkier, the better. You can store them in woven baskets for added texture.  Layer them on your couch or on the back of your office chair. Even if it is still warm in Florida during the autumn months, the softness of these layers gives the feeling of cooler Fall temperatures and instantly makes your space cozy. You can shop these layers here.

You do not have to switch out all your decor for every season. That can get expensive and feel overwhelming. Adding a few simple elements of nature, warmth and texture to your existing home decor are a few easy ways to make your space ready for the season.  If you are looking for more ways to incorporate Fall into your home, I shared a few more ideas here.
